A local artist will be running a drop in workshop at the Spring Fair at the Underground Theatre – the event is organised to raise funds for cancer charities – I do hope you will be able to give it your support.
Workshops start at 10.30 am through till 2.00 on a drop in basis – come for ten minutes or the whole session. The workshop is FREE but if you would like to make a donation to breast cancer awareness, please do. The aim of the workshop is to create a stitched wall hanging made from cut up bras and embellishments. Age range of participants (going on previous workshops) could be anything be 8 to 80. Previous sewing skills not required but I may well need help with needle threading!
There are lots of other stalls and activities for the young and old. All proceeds will be going to cancer charities. For full details of what will be available, please contact the organiser: Jane: jane1066@uwclub.net – she will be happy to give you details.
We want to show support to all those who have been affected by breast cancer, either personally or as a friend or family member of someone who has been affected. This is not gender specific! Men are equally affected and are very very welcome!
If anyone would like to help me out for half an hour, an hour or the whole lot, that would be absolutely marvellous.
Do please support the event by: attending or donating unwanted bras (any size or condition) or trimmings (threads, sequins, braids, etc etc.)
Many many thanks for your support. Tell all your friends!
